Clean and comfortable room, you can smoke in the room, which is already rare in Europe.
Fifth floor without elevator and steep staircase.

the hotel was functional and quaint, and the stuff where well-mannered, loved the incredible location short walk to vondelpark and most main attractions and tram to the shopping areas and nightspots.

There was fresh made breakfasts with omelettes and sliced meat and toasts. I really enjoyed new-fashioned and compact room here with private bathroom and ventilation plus hairdryer. A bus stop was very close to the place.

I enjoyed the close proximity to Ledseplein, as well as the tram stop. I also enjoyed it being over a albert heijn grocery store. The walk up without lift to the top floor was not the best situation with a suitcase. I feel the hotel would be much better served with a lift, this is 2011.
After paying 60 euro for 4 nights in a row, I dont understand or agree with having to pay 10 euro for internet for 5 hours, one hour being 3 euro, this all should be inclusive in the rates, and I would have paid 70 euro a night flat with internet included, most hotels in Amsterdam offer free wifi nowadays, its alot to ask on the traveler, to than pay for internet on top of the hotel room cost. Plus and more importantly there was no soap, or shampoo provided by the hotel, so in essence its a super nice dorm, where you have to pay extra for every thing you would been to be settled in the hotel room.

No-nonsense budget hotel with clean, if somewhat small rooms. The location is unbeatable next to a tram stop. The staff were very professional. Breakfast was good value for money.
The bed was too soft and the stairs, like elsewhere in Amsterdam, weren't for the faint-hearted.

Good location as it is near the train stop. But very high steps (which is normal for Amsterdam) to take the suitcase. Friendly staff and very clean. Some rooms have even balcony.

It's as expected. Breakfasts are decent, but they can be better.
